SavorBook

Bring in a recipe that has no link

A recipe filled in by AI from pasted text, with its ingredients and steps ready to check

Plenty of good recipes never had a page of their own. They sit in a cookbook, in a screenshot of a post, or in a message from someone who cooks well. SavorBook reads them too.

Paste it or add screenshots

The import screen's From text or screenshots field with a recipe pasted in and a note on what to change

Click “New recipe”, then paste the recipe into “From text or screenshots”, or add up to four screenshots. Post screenshots, cookbook photos, notes and chats all work. Add a link as well and AI reads that page too. Write what you want changed in the same field, such as yogurt instead of sour cream or rice in grams, and it is applied as the recipe is written.

Check what AI filled in

Reading takes a minute or more. You can leave the page, and the draft waits on the import screen until you open it. The recipe form then opens with the title, servings, ingredients and steps in place, under “Filled in by AI. Check it and save.”

In the units you already use

Ingredient rows written by AI in the account's own units, with any new food marked new

AI writes each amount in a unit the account already knows. A spoon becomes grams or milliliters when you measure that way, through a saved conversion where there is one. Foods you have are matched by name, and anything new is marked new so you see it before saving.

Where it stops

  • It reads text and pictures. A video or a voice message does not import.
  • It writes what the source says. Calories and macros come in only when the source states them, and nothing is estimated for you.
  • A converted amount is as good as its conversion. Without a saved conversion, a spoon of flour in grams is an estimate, so check it the way you would check any recipe.
